MyQueenstown HOT 100

By my queenstown on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 with 0 comments

November and December are the two hottest months when many artistes will release their albums and hit music because listeners are more likely to buy these albums during the festive seasons. Year 2010 is no different. In fact, the recovery in the world economy has already driven record sales in some countries. Today, let Queenstown residents recommend some of the hit singles and albums!

Lintan, a student in Queenstown from Burma

Lintan, 26, is a student from Burma and studies in a private education institution, Kaplan. He enjoys songs from Rihanna and bought her latest album, Loud, which contains hit singles, UK No.1 Single, Only Girl, and Billboard No.1, What's My Name. Loud is Rihanna's fifth album and receives raves reviews for her experiments in R&B.

Another hit single that has been making waves on radio is Take That's new single, Flood. This single marks the return of Robbie Williams into Britain's most popular album. Nearly 520,000 albums has been shipped in the first week in Britain, a figure that has not been seen since the turn of millennium due to piracy and popularity of iTunes.

Westlife was one of the favourite band of your correspondent here. They have released a brand new single, Safe, to mark their 11th year in the industry. According to RIAS, one in two households in Singapore had purchased a Westlife album before. Hence, it would be nice for us to introduce this song although its reception among the British public was less than desirable.

Christmas bells are ringing and Queenstown is only 5 minutes from the centre of celebrations and lightings in Orchard. The biggest Christmas song this year came from Mariah Carey's Oh Santa! An artiste recommended by Lintan as well, this song would sure light up the festive mood everywhere you go!

The final pick of the week would goes to Katy Perry's inspiring 'new' song, Firework. This hit single can be found in the multi platinum album, Teenage Dream, and featured an expensive collage of pyrotechnics and visualisation in the video.
